Effective October 1, 2026

The short version: I only collect what I need to get you your music and books. I never sell or rent your email address, and there's no second list.

When you buy something

Gumroad, my checkout partner, handles the payment, the receipt and the download. Gumroad collects your name, email and payment details under its own privacy policy. I never see your card details. I see your email and what you bought, so I can make sure you get it and help if something goes wrong.

When you claim the free song

• Your email is used to send you one confirmation email. That email is sent through Resend, an email delivery service.
• The free-song claim database does not store your email address. It stores only a protected code made from it, the song you picked, and the consent record.
• Cloudflare Turnstile helps block automated abuse of the form.
• Too-many-tries limit: your IP address is turned into a scrambled code and counted for up to 2 hours, to stop abuse. The address itself isn't stored.

Just visiting the site

The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which may keep standard technical logs. The fonts come from Google Fonts, so your browser asks Google for them. This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies and shows no ads. Gumroad's checkout and Cloudflare's bot check may use their own cookies to work.

When you leave a comment

Comments on song and book pages run on a small comment system I host on my own Cloudflare account. It has no ads and no tracking. I keep the name you give and what you write. If you sign in with another account to comment, I also get the name and email that service shares. Your IP address is never stored as-is, only scrambled, to help stop spam. Cloudflare's Turnstile check runs before a guest comment is posted. The first comment from someone new waits for my approval, and I remove spam and abuse. To have a comment of yours removed, email hello@layor76.com.

How long things are kept

• Confirmation links stop working after 24 hours.
• Too-many-tries counters are gone after 2 hours.
• Free-song claim records are kept while the free-song offer runs, so each email can claim only once, and deleted within 12 months after the offer ends.

Your choices

Every email I send through Gumroad has an unsubscribe link. To ask what I hold about you, or to have it deleted, email hello@layor76.com. For anything Gumroad holds, you can also contact Gumroad.

Children

This site isn't meant for children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect their information.
